For Community Grants

The Southern Trust Inc. operates gaming machines and returns the net proceeds to charitable purposes.  Net proceeds are continually distributed to the community, subject to availability by territorial authority, and can be granted for the following purposes; Amateur Sport, Education and Training, Welfare and Cultural or Philanthropic Activities.  To be eligible for approval, applications must meet the criteria listed in the Southern Trust grants policy.

Sight for Sore Eyes

 

Thanks to a donation from the Southern Trust a new eye laser in South Auckland is saving the sight of hundreds of patients with diabetic eye disease.

It is an advanced piece of technology that eye surgeons hope will encourage patients to get their eyes screened.
